Bloom Skip Bins is a skip bin hire business based at 121 Greigs Road, Truganina VIC 3029 (ABN 80 656 357 354). We deliver skip bins across Melbourne's west and north.

This privacy policy covers the personal information we collect through bloomskipbins.com.au, and the details you give us when you call, email or book a skip bin. "We", "us" and "Bloom" mean Bloom Skip Bins. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

When you ask for a quote

Our quote form asks for your name, phone number, delivery suburb and bin size. You can also tell us the type of job, your preferred delivery date, any notes, and your email address. Email is optional.

When you send a message

Our contact form asks for your name, phone number and message. Your email address and suburb are optional.

When you book a skip bin

To deliver the bin we also need the delivery address, where on the property the bin should go, any access notes, and the details we put on your invoice.

When you call or email us

We keep your phone number or email address and what you tell us about the job, so we can quote and follow up.

Technical details

With each form entry, the website records the page it was sent from and your browser type. Your IP address is not stored as it is: the site keeps only a scrambled, one-way code made from it, which is used to stop repeated spam. The website also uses Google Analytics, explained in cookies and analytics.

What we don't collect online: this website never asks for card or bank details, a date of birth or ID, and you don't need an account to get a quote.

We contact you only about your enquiry or booking. We won't use your details for anything unrelated without asking you first.

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only when the job or the law needs it:

• Your local council, when your bin goes on the nature strip or road. The permit application needs your name, the address and where the bin will sit. A bin on your driveway or property needs no permit, so nothing is shared.
• The services that run our website and email. These are our website hosting company, the email service that delivers form entries to our business inbox, and Google Analytics, which measures visits. They handle the information only to provide those services.
• Our professional advisers, such as our accountant, when they need records to do their work.
• Government bodies or authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers, such as Google, may store information on servers outside Australia.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our website: which pages are visited, roughly which area visitors are in, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies. It doesn't give us your name, phone number or email address.

When you send a form, we record that a quote request or message was sent, along with the bin size and suburb you chose. This tells us which pages bring in enquiries. It doesn't include your name or contact details.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website still works without cookies.

• Our website uses a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), so form details are protected on the way to us.
• Form entries are stored in our website's admin area, which is protected by a login. Only people at Bloom who need your details can see them.
• Spam and deleted form entries are removed automatically after 30 days.
• We keep your details only as long as we need them for your quote, booking and invoice, and for the records the law requires, then delete them.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and, where the law requires it, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@bloomskipbins.com.au or call 0411 131 044. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on the request.

We'll respond within a reasonable time. If there's something we can't delete, such as an invoice we have to keep for tax, we'll tell you why.
