Section 01 · Zone by zone

Commercial skip bins, room by room.

A commercial premises isn't one site — it's five different problems. Pick the zone that matches the job and we'll match the bin.

Zone 01 3–4m³ Small

Reception & front of house

The client-facing entry. Fit-out waste, old counters, signage, rugs, and the last thing you clear before the new branding goes up. Usually a small, tidy job, but space out the front is often tight, so tell us where the bin can go.

3m³ or 4m³ suits most reception strip-outs. A 4m³ will take a counter, shelving unit and a couple of rugs without breaking a sweat. If the bin has to go on the road, we arrange the council permit for you.

Zone 02 4–6m³ Standard

Office floor

Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, workstations, monitors, cables. Most of this is general waste — but anything with a plug, battery or cord is e-waste, and Victoria has banned e-waste from landfill since 2019. Screens, towers, printers and cables all need to go elsewhere.

4m³ or 6m³ for a typical single-floor clean-out. A 6m³ takes a whole open-plan floor's worth of furniture if it's broken down flat. Set screens and electronics aside before you load, and take them to an e-waste drop-off.

Zone 03 6–8m³ Medium

Back of house & stockroom

Where volume actually lives. Shelving, racking, pallets, crates, cardboard, damaged stock and packaging. Most of it's light and bulky, so the bin fills up fast, and a bigger bin here usually saves a mid-job swap.

6m³ or 8m³ for a stockroom clearance. Flatten every carton before it goes in and you'll fit roughly twice as much.

Zone 04 6–10m³ Large

Loading dock & service lane

The best spot for a commercial bin, and usually the easiest to book. Flat concrete, roll-up door access, no public foot traffic, and no council permit needed because the bin sits entirely on private property. The only thing to check is that our truck can get in and reverse to the spot.

6m³ up to 10m³, depending on the volume of the whole job. Loading docks often take the bin for the entire clearance rather than a per-zone bin. Tell us about the access when you book and we'll confirm the placement.

Zone 05 8–10m³ Extra large

Yard, car park & external areas

Where the big pieces land. Pallet racking, outdoor furniture, air-conditioning units, signage frames, landscape waste. If the site has an enclosed yard or unused car-park bay, it's often the best spot for the bin: no permit, and easy access for the team.

8m³ or 10m³ for a full yard clearance or an end-of-lease sweep. Heavy items — bricks, concrete, pallets of tile — go in the bottom, lighter bulk on top. For an end-of-lease job, put the bin here the week before handover and let staff load it as they clear each area.

Section 02 · Site access

Skip bin access for commercial sites.

The right spot makes the whole clean-out easier. Five things we ask every commercial site.

A/01

Reversing space

Our truck needs room to reach and reverse to the placement spot. If the dock has tight corners or a shared drive, send us a photo of it from the street and we'll tell you whether it works.

Ask dock photo
A/02

Shared car parks

If the bin sits in a car-park bay that isn't exclusively yours — common in multi-tenant buildings — check with the building manager or strata first. Tell us the building contact when you book.

A/03

Council permits

Only needed when the bin goes on the nature strip or road. Common for shops in strip retail, less common in industrial estates. We arrange the permit and are accredited with every council in our service area. The cost is added to your final invoice.

A/04

Delivery window

Offices and shops often prefer delivery outside trading hours. We run 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. If you'd like the bin dropped before staff arrive or collected after close, tell us the window when you book.

A/05

Heavy waste on site

Pallets of tile, brick rubble, concrete offcuts. Heavy loads need the right bin. Call us first if the load is mostly heavy and we'll recommend one.

Section 04 · FAQs

Commercial skip bin questions.

Still stuck? Call 0411 131 044, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm.

01 Can Bloom invoice my business?
Yes. Your invoice shows our ABN 80 656 357 354. Call 0411 131 044 before delivery to give us your billing contact or purchase order number.
02 Can the bin go in a loading dock or car park?
Yes. A bin placed entirely on private property, such as a loading dock, car park or yard, needs no council permit. If it has to go on the nature strip or road, Bloom arranges the permit and the cost is added to your final invoice. See the site access notes.
03 Can you deliver at a set time for my business?
Delivery runs Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm. If you'd like the bin dropped before staff arrive or collected after close, tell us when you book and we'll do our best to fit your window.
04 What can't go in a commercial skip bin?
The same rules apply as for any skip bin: no asbestos, no liquids or chemicals, no gas bottles, and no e-waste, which is anything with a plug, battery or cord. E-waste has been banned from Victorian landfill since 2019. Paint goes to a Paintback drop-off. Ask us if you're unsure about an item before loading it. See what can go in a skip bin for the full list.
